About us
The mission of Techlabify is to radically simplify and economically optimize the creation of cybersecurity training infrastructures, helping educators and organizations worldwide overcome technical and financial barriers, thus contributing significantly to reducing the global cybersecurity talent shortage
The Story Behind Techlabify
The story of Techlabify didn’t begin in a boardroom or during a conference call. It started after a long day of teaching cybersecurity. As the training wrapped up and the students left, Gábor Illés and Dr. Csaba Krasznay met by the banks of the Danube in downtown Budapest. The bustling city around them contrasted with the calm flow of the river, creating a unique setting for a conversation that would shape their future. On that summer evening, as they walked along the Pest embankment and watched the lights of the bridges reflecting on the water, they began discussing how to truly transform cybersecurity education.
Both firmly believed that cybersecurity should not be confined to theory. It’s not enough to talk about it—one must practice it. Configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, defending infrastructures, rebuilding setups—these hands-on experiences are what prepare students to face real-world challenges with confidence.
Csaba, the founder and head of Hungary’s first cybersecurity master’s program, knew too well that university infrastructures often fell short in providing adequate practical training environments. Meanwhile, Gábor, through his own bootcamps, experienced how frustrating and time-consuming it was to prepare working lab environments. He was weary of the countless late nights spent configuring servers just to be ready for the next class.
As they stood together by the Danube, the water reflecting the city’s shimmering lights, their shared vision became clear: practical cybersecurity training should not be a privilege but a standard. They imagined a world where an instructor could launch a full training environment with a single click, allowing students to explore, experiment, make mistakes, and learn by doing—while rediscovering the joy of learning.
From this vision, Techlabify was born. What began as a shared frustration became a solution: a service and platform that restores the freedom and effectiveness of hands-on learning to both instructors and students. Techlabify eliminates technological barriers and fosters a community devoted to learning and building a safer digital future.
Techlabify is more than just a startup—it is a response to a longstanding need for education that is inspiring, personal, and effective, regardless of place or time.
Today, even as Techlabify expands into international markets such as Berlin, Brussels, and London, its roots remain on the banks of the Danube, at that pivotal moment when two educators decided to revolutionize cybersecurity training.
