Hungarian Innovation Could Revolutionize Cybersecurity Education
Techlabify has successfully completed the first phase of the OXO Labs Startup Factory program, which supports promising technology startups and prepares them for international market entry. During this initial stage, Techlabify validated its business concept, developed its minimum viable product (MVP), and began serving its first customers.
Techlabify is a Hungarian-developed, one-of-a-kind digital platform that provides flexible and customizable IT environments for cybersecurity technology training. Based on the “Training-Environment-as-a-Service” (TEaaS) model, the solution allows educators and institutions to create multi-machine, real-life simulation environments with just a few clicks—either online or on their own infrastructure. Techlabify is not only a service or a product, but also a marketplace where users can buy and sell each other’s training environments.
“Cybersecurity education globally struggles with rapidly evolving technologies and the complexity of setting up lab environments. We created Techlabify to radically simplify this process. Our goal is to let instructors focus on what they do best: teaching.”
— Gábor Illés, founder and CTO of Techlabify
The project holds significant potential both domestically and internationally. The upcoming NIS2 directive, entering into force in October 2024, requires EU organizations to provide cybersecurity awareness training, which is expected to drive a surge in demand for hands-on educational solutions.
The OXO Labs Startup Factory program aims to support technology-based startups through mentoring, expert guidance, and investment, helping them succeed on international markets. Through funding under project ID 2023-1.1.3-STARTUP-2023 00003-4457, Techlabify validated its market potential in the program’s first phase. The next stage will focus on regional expansion, development of a packaged product, and further enhancement of the platform’s features.
